About us..
An established Kerikeri based School of Music delivering quality music education to the Bay of Islands community. |
Established in 2004, the Kerikeri School of Music is administered by the Kerikeri Community Music Education Trust, a registered charity.
The Kerikeri School of Music engages only qualified and experienced teachers, several of whom also have many years of experience working for the Ministry of Education. The Kerikeri School of Music offers individual lessons and shared lessons. Students may sit exams and undertake performance preparation for external examination boards such as the Royal School of Music and Trinity College. We offer tuition across several music genres: classical and modern (jazz, pop, rock, blues) and in a variety of instruments: singing, piano, keyboard, saxophone , recorder, guitars (classical, electric and steel string acoustic), drums and percussion. We can arrange the hire of a range of musical instruments and have some instruments available for loan. This website outlines the courses currently being offered, and details of enrolment. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions we welcome your call or email, see our Contact page. Since its establishment the school has built a reputation for delivering comprehensive musical education to children and adults in group and individual situations.
Kerikeri School of Music is supported by Far North Creative Communities Scheme and Foundation North. |
